11 Luxury Vegan Skincare Brands that should be on your shopping list
For a product to be approved for Vegan Certification, it must not contain any animal-derived ingredients. |
Vegan skincare has been booming in the past 5 years and you probably already are using quite a few vegan beauty and makeup products, but are they fully vegan?
100% vegan brands are not common and they are still few and far between. Most of the organic and cruelty-free skincare brands still use animal by-products as lanolin and beeswax.
These need to be replaced for the range to class as a fully vegan brand and earn that vegan sticker. Formulas become much harder to make as they try to replace them with equal or even more effective ingredients.
My all-time favourite and surprisingly 100% vegan brand is Aesop, which I found out it’s fully vegan after a thorough research as they don’t market themselves as such, although they are.
It’s one of my most trusted companions since 2014 and can definitely vouch that their products are very researched and of great quality. Their Parsley seed range is phenomenal and I recommend it for people with stressed skin. Price point wise they are not very affordable, but the formulas are reflecting the price.
Another one of my favourite skincare brands is Facetheory as it’s very result driven and uses a lot of good formulas to target many common and not-so-common concerns. They have their normal ranges and their PRO range, which uses more potent ingredients.
The price point can be quite low for some products starting at 4.99£, but as they get more advance they can reach 30-40£ mark. Use code BBNASFT for 20% off on their website.
Another vegan brand is KYLIE skin, which would be a good start if you don’t have any major concerns and your skin is young. Her products give a good moisture boost, but not many anti-ageing properties. The eye cream is probably my favourite product from the range and it shows great results, but other than that the range is not result-driven.
Similar can be said about Monday Muse, with their potent Daily Serum and Vitamin Facial Oil. They have only launched these two products, which feel and smell amazing, but are they building a whole routine? If you are quite minimal with your routine or you like to incorporate different luxury vegan brands, I’d highly recommend these. Price point starts at 28£ for the 15ml bottle and goes up to 40£ for the 30ml.
