Today, I’m sharing my summer beauty essentials for getting that radiant skin glow and also exploring my favourite summery, fresh makeup tones. Let’s get started…
Skincare
During the winter, I lean towards rich, creamy cleansers, but I prefer water-based formulas that are still hydrating and non-foaming for my summer beauty edit. My go-to is Naturium Niacinamide Cleansing Gelee 3% | £18.50. It has a gel-like texture that becomes creamy as you massage it into damp skin. It’s formulated with niacinamide to cleanse without stripping moisture. I love pairing this with Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Essence Toner | £25. This toner provides a fantastic hydration boost that’s neither sticky nor heavy. It contains hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture, ensuring my skin stays soft and hydrated all day.
Another product I recently reintroduced into my routine is Naturium Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% | £18. This serum blends niacinamide and zinc to reduce blemishes and refine skin texture while providing hydration. It has a lightweight, hydrating base that gives my skin an instant glow and added bounce. To further enhance hydration (a must after winter), I pair it with the Farmacy Beauty Honey Halo Ultra-Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer | £23. This rich moisturizer is formulated with honey and ceramides to nourish and strengthen the skin barrier. It provides deep hydration and leaves my skin feeling soft and supple, perfect for the warmer weather.
For sunscreen, my top choice right now is Garnier Vitamin C Daily UV Brightening Fluid Invisible SPF 50+ | £12 | full review. This sunscreen is light, moisturizing, non-shiny, and non-pilling. It doesn’t leave a ghostly or iridescent sheen and works beautifully under makeup while being gentle on the eyes. Plus, it offers broad-spectrum SPF 50 protection, which is essential as the UV index rises.
Makeup
Moving on to makeup! My current favourite base is the Dr Jart+ Premium BB Beauty Balm SPF 50 | £37. This light, fresh, dewy balm might be too glowy for some, but my dry skin loves it. It evens my skin tone, reduces redness, and makes my skin look lively and radiant without covering up its natural texture. I pair this with my go-to bronzer and highlighter duo: Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer in Baked | £22 and Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer in Mesmerize | £24. The bronzer provides a natural, creamy warmth without being too pigmented or orange, while the highlighter adds a luminous light gold sheen, creating a beautiful, dewy glow.
For summer colours, I gravitate towards peachy tones. I love the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Joy | £22 for a buildable, long-wearing flush of colour. This warm peach shade brings my complexion to life without making me look too rosy or pastel. I pair this with the Urban Decay 24/7 Moondust Eyeshadow in Space Cowboy | £20. This eyeshadow glides on smoothly with a sparkling finish. I apply it to my lids and lower lash line and blend the edges with my fingers, giving a dewy, dimensional look.
I use the Gisou Honey Infused Lip Oil | £24 to complete the look. This lip oil is moisturizing and gives a glossy, luminous look, perfect for easy touch-ups on the go. The subtle honey tone complements the rest of the makeup beautifully.

Body Care
Finally, let’s talk body and fragrance for summer. I’ve recently been loving the Vyrao Magnetic 70 Eau de Parfum | £89. This scent is a captivating blend of cedarwood, tuberose, and sandalwood, creating a fresh yet complex fragrance that’s perfect for summer. It strikes a great balance between earthy and floral, making it ideal for those who appreciate a sophisticated scent.
Additionally, I’m obsessed with the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Firmeza Oil | £52. This body oil is deeply nourishing, making my skin radiant and firm, so it’s one of my summer beauty essentials. It’s formulated with guaraná, which helps to tighten and smooth the skin, and the tropical scent is absolutely divine, making it a summer essential for keeping my skin hydrated and glowing.
